What are we trying to achieve with Ceramic Veneers?

What are we trying to achieve with Ceramic Veneers

2 hours 27 minutes

Evolving a treatment plan based on the principles of smile designing is the first basic step toward a successful outcome with CERAMIC VENEERS.

Veneers have become a synonym for esthetic dentistry. And a customized plan for each case needs to be drafted. The session emphasizes the planning aspect, creating a diagnostic wax-up and assessing esthetics at that stage. Nuances of how ceramic veneers function, their indications and limitations, case selection for veneers and much more has been discussed in the session.

Execution of the well-made treatment plan is the next step. The envisioned end result, through the prepared wax-up, needs to be meticulously replicated in the patient's mouth. This involves some critical steps- Tooth preparation designs, understanding of material sciences, impressions, maintaining gingival health, providing temporaries and keeping the patient motivated and compliant.

The shade selection is the most important and communicating that information to the laboratory for the best results needs the clinician to work in tandem with the lab.

This session is a detailed explanation of all the above aspects with multiple clinical cases.

Overview

Over the years, Veneers have emerged as one of the most successful and conservative treatment modalities for both aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry. Although technique sensitive and material-dependent, if executed correctly, porcelain laminate veneers offer a predictable option for creating a successful restorative treatment that also preserves a maximum amount of tooth structure.

All-ceramic veneers / Porcelain veneers / Bonded veneers / Laminates are the various names by which this treatment modality is addressed. Simple esthetic challenges to complex smile makeovers can be achieved if the rationale and science of the technique are well understood.

In this course, all the fundamental basics required to achieve predictable success with ceramic veneers will be covered through various clinical examples
